Setup barcode Scanners in V3
"Bar Code Validation" feature available in the admin.area:
menu "Orders" => submenu "Bar Code Validation". You can activate or deactivate this feature: menu "Admin" => submenu "Edit Config" => submenu "Edit All Config" => constant CHECKBARCODE_ENABLED: If value is set to 1, then "Bar Code Validation" submenu will be enabled. To check barcode they need to do the following: 1. Log-in and go to the admin.area. 2. In the admin.area: go to menu "Orders" => submenu "Bar Code Validation".* 3. Fill the form. 3.1. Select a tour from the dropdown list. 3.2. Select date. 3.3. Enter bar code. As I understood from the earlier explanation, you need to place cursor in this field to place scanned barcode. As a result you should see number like 0014189 in "Bar Code" field. 4. Press "Submit" button to send form data. 5. After this: 5.1. If bar code is valid and not used before, then system will set given order item as "scanned" and displays message about successful operation. 5.2. If bar code is empty, not valid or was scanned before, then error message will appear. *To Read & verify barcode on small screen device Submenu in "Orders" section: "Bar Code Validation (PocketPC-friendly
