Example of Tour Quantity.
"Coupons for Tours". You need to select at least two tours and enter quantity for each of them. For example: you have two tours on the website: "Tour 1" (original price =
$100) and "Tour 2"(original price=$70).
And you want to set 10% discount for customer, who buys 2 seats for "Tour1" AND 1 seat for "Tour 2" in ONE order. To do this you need to go to the "Coupons for Tours" section in the admin.area and select: "Tour1", quantity=2 "Tour2",quantity=1 "Discount" = 10% "apply coupon automatically" option = ticked.
After this if customer adds 2 seats for "Tour1" AND 1 seat for "Tour2" in the shopping cart, then he will get 10% discount from the total price:
Price: 100x2+70=$270
Discount: 10% = $27
Total price with discount: $243
1. Coupons for tours. Administration.
Log-in as IMSCart administrator and go to the "Products" admin. page.
Choose "Add Coupons For Tours" from the submenu.
Fill up the following fields in the opened form:
- "Name" (public coupon name);
- "Number" (unique hidden number; will be visible only for customer);
- "Valid from";
- "Valid to";
- "Format" (type of discount: rate or amount);
- "Discount" (numeric discount value).
Further there are three pairs of fields - "Tour" and "Tour quantity".
Choose one of available tours in the "Tour" field and it's quantity in "Tour quantity" field.
Repeat this for other tours that you want to add to the discount.
Please, note: at least one pair of fields must be filled up.
If "apply coupon automatically" flag was ticked:
If customer selects given combination of "tours + quantities" and the date is valid, then coupon will be applied automatically.
As a result customer will see notification about this on the "Cart" page: coupon name and amount will appear and "Total" will be changed.
If "apply coupon automatically" flag was not ticked:
customer must enter coupon number on the shopping cart page.
2. Coupons for tours. Notes for customers.
Before adding coupon for tours customer must add these tours in the shopping cart in any order.
Then he must click on the "Add Coupons For Tours" link from the shopping cart page.
As a result new page will be opened, where customer must enter coupon number.
After this system will check "tours + quantities" for the coupon with "tours + quantities" in the cart:
- if given combination of "tours + quantities" exists in the shopping cart, then coupon name/discount will appear and "Total" will be changed on the shopping cart page.
- if given combination of "tours + quantities" does not exists, then coupon will be not applied and customer will see notification:
"NOTICE: YOU NEED TO ENTER FULL MATCH OF TOURS FOR THIS COUPON!"
