How to set up a Reseller/ Travel AgentHow to use the Sales module in IMS solutions.
When you are in the IMS application, there is a link in the bottom blue
bar (footer) named "Resellers". It can be renamed "Travel agents, etc".
This link can be placed anywhere in your templates. Rates can be
established/easily changed as often as required for individual or groups
of Travel Agents, Resellers. The way it works is: 1. They can buy your products at a discounted rate (a percentage % of your choice) under their name and use or resell them or; (This set up is done by creating a new Shopper group for your Reseller so they get a discount on their purchases) 2. With the confirmation email, they received your logo/link graphic of choice with an ID string to put on their Website. So when visitors are accessing their Website and select a Room/Tour (for example), they click on your logo on their website page, and directly access your Website to complete the reservation. That reservation will be made to the customer's name but will be credited to the Travel agent with their unique Travel Agent ID number embedded in the transaction. 3. Travel Agents can book for their customers by accessing a unique Sales link in topmenu on your website. After their secure login details are accepted, they access the list of their customers where they can choose from if needed. If it is a new customer for them, they can create a new client profile and proceed with the booking. To get credited for the transaction, travel agents must go through the special sales link so their ID is part of the booking. Again that reservation will be made to the customer's name but will be credited to the Travel agent with their ID number embedded in the transaction. 6- You can access Travel agent reports for commission purposes. A Reseller/Agent is able to access their report with their unique username and password through the regular LOGIN link in top blue bar and then by clicking Account in top blue bar. For direct sales/travel agent type of operations, scenario 5.3 is what you are going to use. For testing you can create a new profile by clicking on the Reseller link in the footer. After clicking on “Reseller” you have a page where you describe your Terms and Conditions for the future Resellers. They have to check the checkbox to Agree and click on Submit to continue. BTW, you can update the content of this page in your Admin area by clicking on Reseller and on Reseller program. After creating your Reseller profile, you get a thank you memo like this:

By clicking the Login button, you access an IMS page where you can generate the code for your link if you (as a reseller) want your customers to purchase the products of the Company you are associated with. After clicking on the LOGIN button you access the customer list. In the left menu section, you have the label SALES and the name of the person logged in. To logout from the Sales module, you have to use Sales Logout. Below you have the label CLIENT and for now the space to the right is empty. You have 2 choices: 1 to create a new client, you click on the link “new” in Create a new shopper in the white area. After creating the new customer profile, you access the customer listing. The first column is the username. As you can see, the username is a number generated by the system. The second column is the customer name. When you will have several customers, it may happen that the new customer profile that you just created is located on page 5 because they are sorted by family name. So if you want to locate the new name you just created, type in either the first name or last name in the search box in top right corner and the IMS system will search it for you. If you want to choose this new customer for the booking or any other one, click on his username in column one, and you will see immediately his name displayed in the left column beside CLIENT. Now you are ready to select a tour or product by clicking on links in leftmenu. If you want to add another tour or product, you then select what you want from the left menu. When you reach the payment information page, you fill in Account name, Account number (for test, use 4111111111111111) 4+15 ones, and either MasterCard or Visa and any expiry date in the future. You then will get a confirmation page and if an email address has been typed in, a confirmation email will be sent to it. If you want to go back to the customer list, simply click on New Client in the left menu. Sales Reports If the Agent wants to access his sales reports, first he has to logout from the Sales module with Sales logout in the left menu. Then use LOGIN link in top blue bar with here username and password. Click the Account link in top blue bar and click on Reseller Report. You as Admin person you can see every Sales report by access the Admin area, click on Reseller and on Reseller report. Contact webmaster@imscart.com with questions or problems with this set-up.
