Common taxes and taxes for products.

1. Common taxes. For these taxes you need to select one of the options in the admin.area:

1.1. "Tax State or Region" - tax will be applied only if customer or vendor is from the selected state or region. In this case you need to enter state or region code in the IMSCart admin. Please, look at the attached screenshot tax_for_state.gif - this tax will be applied for all order if customer or vendor is from the California.

1.2. "Tax Country" - tax will be applied only if customer or vendor is from the selected country. In this case you need to select a country in the dropdown box in the IMSCart admin. Please, look at the attached screenshot - tax_for_country.gif.

1.3. "Generic" - tax will be applied for all orders without exception. As example, you can see "Taxes" tax in your IMSCart version. This is 10$ tax and it will be applied for all IMSCart orders without any exception. However you can delete this tax if you want.

2. Taxes for products. For these taxes you need to select "Product only" option in the IMSCart admin. Please, look at the attached screenshot - tax_product_only.gif.

This is "7% product tax". By default product taxes are not applied to any product. After adding a tax, you must select this product tax for the appropriate product.

For example: tax_selected_for_product.gif.

Please, note: if tour have tour items then you must select a tax for these tour items too - it is very important. Please, look at the attached

screenshot: tax_for_tour_item.gif.

On the front-end this tax will be applied for the ordered product only. Please, look at the attached screenshot product_tax_applied.gif.

Also please, note, that tax can be specified in two ways:

A). As percentage. In this case you need to select "Format" = "Rate" and "RATE" = "<specified rate>". For example, to set 7% tax you need to select "Format" = "Rate" and "RATE" = 0.07

B). As fixed amount. In this case you need to select "Format" = "Amount" and "RATE" = "<specified amount>". For example, to set $20 tax you need to select "Format" = "Amount" and "RATE" = 20
