How to use the IMS affiliate program
Objective: If you want visitors from multiple other websites
(affiliate websites) to access your Website, process an order or to do a
booking and to credit this sale to your affiliates, then the integrated
‘Affiliate program’ in IMS software will reach your objectives.
Step by step set up procedure:
Customer ->Affiliate page -> Your Website->order credited to Affiliate.
First – the affiliate accesses your Web site and fills in the registration
form.
Second – the affiliate receives a script to copy into a web page and saves
it as “affiliate.html” or “order.html”. The script creates a link with a
banner or with a text link. Part of that link, an ID number identifies the
affiliate.
Third – when a visitor accesses the affiliate’s Web site and clicks on the
link on the “order.html” page, the visitor gets to your Web site to place
an order or to do a booking. This transaction is then credited to the
affiliate account.
Four – the affiliate has access to your Web site with his username and
password to view his monthly commission report.
Five – you as Webmaster can access all affiliates reports.
Scenario A: Concierge placing order for a customer
Concierge ->internal sales link -> Your Website -> order credited to
Concierge
First – the concierge (affiliate) accesses your Web site and fills in the
registration form.
Second - the concierge (affiliate) receives a script to copy into a web
page and saves it as “concierge.html”. The script creates a link with a
banner or with a text link. Part of that link, an ID number identifies the
concierge (affiliate).
Third – From his computer, the concierge uses the link to access Your
Website. By using the link, IMS software will identify the concierge with
the ID number.
Four – When he reaches Your Website, the he uses the “sales” link to place
the order for a new or existing customer. He logs in with his username and
password. This “sales” link allows the concierge to either create a new
customer or to use an existing customer profile and the concierge places
the order like a customer. This transaction is then credited to the
concierge account.
Five - the concierge (affiliate) has access to your Web site with his
username and password to view his monthly commission report.
Six - you as Webmaster can access all affiliates reports.
Scenario B: Concierge phoning inside sales to place order for a
customer
Concierge phones ->internal sales using sales link -> Your Website ->
order credited to Concierge
First – Inside sales uses the “concierge.html” page and click on the
concierge’s link who phones in.
Second – Once on Your website, the inside sales agent uses the “sales”
link to place order for the customer.
Third – With the concierge’s details about the customer, the inside sales
agent places the order or does the booking.
Four – The sales is credited to the concierge.
Five - the concierge (affiliate) has access to your Web site with his
username and password to view his monthly commission report.
Six - you as Webmaster can access all affiliates reports.
