IMS Software WYSIWYG Editor

Editor 2.0 - Links & File functions.

foreground colorLink creation allows you to link to any external pages and objects or you can even create links to local files stored in separated folder. This option is especially useful for .pdf or downloadable files.

1 link URL or email - this is the full path to the linked object or mailto:
2 link Alt - you can comment your link in the alt tag, this is useful for better orientation for your visitors and also may give you better ratings in search engines.
3 link target - introduced in version 2.0, you can finally link to new, parent or child page.
4 create link - action button creating link.
5 link to local file - in the case you want to link to local file on the current domain, click this and you will get the file listing tool.
6 upload file - upload any file into the /files directory which you can then link to.

A great feature is that all elements are backwards editable, which means if you select a link in the editor and click this icon, you will be able to edit the link settings and apply changes.

Link to local file
if you click on preview image in the window above (4) you will get the following image:

1 Current folder - shows current directory, if you want to jump back to the main folder, click on the double dot (..). The default file directory can be changed in the configuration file.
2 subfolders - select the subfolder where you want upload your image. Root folder is the default and looks like this ./
3 file browse - click on the Browse button and select the image to upload from your local hard drive.

the rest is described in the chapter below.

Upload new file
Files can be uploaded directly from the editor. The only issue is the correct chmod of your files directory. Any folder created by the editor is set automatically to CHMOD 0777.

This menu will appear after you click on upload new file option.

3 image browse - click on the Browse button and select the image to upload from your local hard drive
