Editor 2.0 - Table functions.
 
add/edit tableTable creation allows you create tables and what's more, you can edit them later. Editing is easy, just select one table (click on top border) and then click on the table icon in the top menu, a popup window will open pre-populated with the current table settings.
 

 
1 number of columns - number of columns in future table, this item is not later editable from here but you can add or delete columns from the rows&columns tab.
2 number of rows - number of rows in the table, also this item can be edited by adding and removing rows in rows&columns tab.
3 table width - you can set the table width in pixels or percents.
4 cell spacing - set cell spacing in pixels (space outside cells).
5 cell padding - set cell padding in pixels (space inside cells).
6 table height - you can set total table height in pixels or percents.
7 table settings preview - this is a preview of the background color and border settings, any time you change any of these settings the preview will show them in real time so you can precisely set your table appearance.
8 background color - set the hex value of your background color.
9 color picker - or you can pick a background color from this two row color picker, hex value will be automatically transferred into element no.8
A all borders settings - This row will assign equal settings into all four borders, if you change the color, this value will be copied into all four edges, same as border thickness and style. Be careful if you entered separate settings for each border, don't touch this row or you will lose your previous settings.
B separate border settings - you can separately set borders for each edge and see in real time a preview in element no.7
C table align - tables can be aligned to the left, center or right.
D create table - this button will deploy the new table in the editor window where the cursor is placed, this is an improvement from previous version, you can easily create a table within a table.

 
Another good feature is that all elements are backwards editable, which means if you select a table in the editor and click this icon, you will be able to edit the table settings and apply changes.


Cell editing
edit celljust like the table settings the cell settings are easy, once you have a cursor inside a table cell and click on this icon, you will get the following window, pre-filled with current cell settings:
 


 
1 cell width - set cell width in pixels or percent.
2 cell height - set cell height in percent.
3 vertical alignment - select vertical alignment from the list.
4 horizontal alignment - select horizontal alignment from the list.
5 row span - cell covering more than one row can be set here.
6 col span - cell covering more than one column can be set here.
7 cell settings preview - this is a preview of the background color and border settings, any time you change any of these settings the preview will show them in real time so you can precisely set your cell appearance.
8 background color - set hex value of your background color.
9 color picker - or you can pick a background color from this two row color picker, hex value will be automatically transferred into element no.8

C no text wrap - if you want to have text unwrapped, check this box.
D edit cell - this button will apply new cell settings to the cell in the editor window where the cursor is placed. Window will not close automatically, so if you want to apply the same settings to another cell, just place the cursor into another table cell and re-apply the settings there.
 

 
While editing tables you can set on/off table framing, this make easier for table creation/editing. This icon can be found in the second row of button bar.


Rows and columns management
This feature is almost hidden, you can access it by clicking on this icon, when the cursor is placed in the cell (row and column) you want to work with and then select tab rows&columns. This menu will appear:
 


 
These functions are already explained in the button names, every operation is executed on the currently selected table cell (row or column). You can leave this window open and change the active cell. This can speed up table layout experiments.
